Kurt launched Kurt Brownell Photography in 1996, and his work quickly earned him the loyalty of a wide variety of clients, including the likes of Yamaha, Constellation Brands, Sentry Safe and Birds Eye, and regional companies such as Wegmans, Paetec, Unity Health and the University of Rochester. Kurt was the man behind the camera for numerous creative projects such as The Celebrity Chefs Cookbook, The Great Homes of Rochester and Horses on Parade. His laid-back style and a no-worries approach allow his subjects to shine, capturing corporate-image stability and indie rock vitality.
Kurt's simple abiding philosophy in business, and life in general, is the humanistic credo: treat others as you wish to be treated. This take on life has suited him well as he has organically grown his business to include a roster of clients he is humbly thankful for and rightfully proud of. All of this, of course, without too much wear and tear on the wonderful family and friends that he holds dearest.
In those rare moments called “spare time”, Kurt enjoys cooking, woodworking, wake-boarding, skiing, golf, visiting the Adirondacks where he grew up, music and cocktails. More than anything though, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Liz (The Most Wonderful Woman in the WorldTM) and his irrepressibly adorable children, Chloe and Luke, who are both destined to outshine all of their father’s amazing feats.
